Poland: Building a breakwater within the scope of the Coastal Protection Programme.
The Pobrzeże Koszalińskie Protection Programme forms part of the operation restoring the environmental values of degraded areas and foresees coastal protection financed by the financial assets of the European Union’s „Infrastructure and Environment“ Operational Programme, the scope of which includes construction of a 200 m long open-work breakwater. The aim of the investment is to protect the unique landscape of Pobrzeże Koszalińskie against storms. The contracting authority – the Maritime Office in Słupsk – is seeking a contractor responsible for designing and building the breakwater as well as seabed reinforcement.
