What does an IP Scan look like?
Our expert will analyze your business model and your products and on this basis propose a strategy for protecting your intellectual property. The process consists of several stages which may essentially be described as follows:
- Completion of a short self-assessment questionnaire;
- Appointment for consultation with our IP expert;
- Performance of an analysis whereby we assess your IP and determine the strategy best suited to the needs of your business;
- Production of a final report which includes a proposal for the next steps and for how to implement the chosen strategy.
In the above-mentioned final report, we provide an assessment of your suite of intellectual property and describe the current level of its protection, also giving answers to the question whether this protection is adequate and sufficient, or whether there are weak areas that require further examination. In addition, the report proposes the best future course of action, listing the steps to be taken toward optimizing the protection of your IP. This information is meant to serve as a recommendation for the better future protection and development (and thus, ultimately, the effective commercial deployment) of your intellectual property.
The service covers a very broad range of IP, from trade marks to industrial designs and utility models, patents, protected designations of origin, and rights that are not or cannot be entered in the public record, such as the author’s rights to original creative work, business secrets, or domain names.
