bnt unveils new corporate design

13 June 2017 – Law firm bnt today presented its new-look brand. bnt is among the leading law firms in Central and Eastern Europe. The new concept is a response to bnt’s sustained growth since its foundation in 2003 and its position in the European market.

In recent years, the legal market has undergone a pronounced change. More and more firms realize that, just as in other lines of business, services of high quality require the support of a strong brand that reflects the continuous development and specific culture of the firm. Says Zuzana Chudáčková, a partner at our Slovak office and one of five members of the international team who collaborated on the new concept, “In the wake of discussions at the global bnt meeting in Budapest in 2013 to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of our success story, it became clear that we were ready to move on to a new level.”.

Changing the corporate design was a gradual process in several stages, involving not only creation of a new logo but also work on the new claim , websites, a video jingle, newsletters, banners, new document templates, and a complete overhaul of promotional material. “The final look and style perfectly symbolizes bnt as a brand and the dynamic growth of its position in the CEE market. We are confident that our clients will welcome this change,” adds Tomáš Běhounek, a bnt partner in the Czech Republic.

The author of the new corporate design is Hamburg-based branding agency JUNO, which emerged as the winner from a two-round closed tender in which five participants were invited to pitch their work. The JUNO team – composed of Frank Wache, Pamela Rödl, and Felix May – looks back on a number of successful branding projects for new products and a variety of business models. Among the proposals submitted for further work, a concept was selected that reflects recent design trends and at the same time underscores where the firm is positioned within the European market. The result is overall rejuvenation and a clean, uncluttered look compared to the previous logo’s visual, to which the tagline “attorneys in CEE” is a new addition.

The modern approach taken by the concept is further emphasized by the new claim . “We went for the slogan ‘close. straight. forward.’, which captures in a nutshell our strategy, and the way we work,” affirms Yvonne Goldammer, a partner at the bnt Lithuanian office in Vilnius. The new claim seeks to characterize bnt’s excellent knowledge of the markets in which bnt, through its branch offices, maintains a presence (close), but also signals that bnt provides its clients with clear and targeted advice (straight), supporting them as they expand and grow (forward).

The new corporate design is released as of today, with a gradual roll-out until the end of summer 2017.
