The team at bnt Prague continues to grow, strengthens insolvency and real estate practices

bnt, a leading international law firm in CEE focusing on business and commercial law, has added further experts to its team of lawyers. Karolina Nováková is contributing her expertise in the areas of insolvency, restructuring, and corporate law, while Tereza Fröhlichová is strengthening the firm’s real estate team. Real estate and corporate law have long been among the core competencies of bnt, for which it is regularly recognized in international rankings.

Karolina Nováková is a welcome reinforcement at bnt, given the significant rise in the number of clients who, in the wake of an amendment to the Insolvency Act, seek legal advice for their restructuring plans or the recovery of their claims. In real estate, we are witnessing increasing interest among investors in the Central European markets, in particular Poland and the Czech Republic, where the number of deals is growing from year to year. New joiner Tereza Fröhlichová will help bnt serve its clients with respect to their real estate transactions.

Both attorneys have outstanding experience in their respective field of interest. Karolina Nováková is joining bnt after four years with CHSH Kališ & Partners, where she devoted her skills primarily to insolvency and restructuring procedures, corporate governance, and the law of contracts. Tereza Fröhlichová has three years of practice with Achour & Partners under her belt, preceded by a stint of more than one year with Wilson & Partners. Her competencies center around legal advice for clients in the real estate sector, be it in the field of new developments or investments or with respect to real property deals or letting and leasing.

Tereza Fröhlichová is a graduate of the faculty of law of Charles University. Part of her studies was a one-year study program at the law faculty in Helsinki; she also obtained a certificate from the Salzburg summer school of law. In her spare time, Tereza is an avid runner, mountain biker, and (in winter) cross-country skier.

Karolina Nováková also hails from the ranks of Charles University graduates; it was there that she successfully defended her J.D. thesis in March before the civil (procedural) law department of the faculty of law. Karolina, too, chose Finland as her destination for studies abroad, which centered around innovation and communication law at Turun yliopisto, the second-largest Finnish university in Turku. Karolina loves to discover the world through travelling, enjoys good food and good music, and does yoga.
