Poland: Tauron Polska Energia and Polskie Inwestycje Rozwojowe have entered into an agreement on financing construction of an energy unit at Łagisz Power Station in Będzin
Polskie Inwestycje Rozwojowe S.A. is a state owned company carrying out a „Polish Investments” programme together with Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, the only state owned bank in Poland. The key programme target is to co-finance projects crucial for the national economy such as developing the country’s energy security, transport and telecommunication infrastructure.
The latest project is being conducted in cooperation with Tauron Polska Energia S.A. – the second biggest holding in the power industry in Poland. The investment consists of building a combined gas and steam unit. The contractor responsible for preparing a building plan has already been chosen. The tender to choose the main contractor to build the block will be announced soon.
Completion planned for the end of 2018.
