The IP Scan covers a wide range of intellectual property rights (both registered and unregistered), such as trademarks, copyrights (including software and databases), trade secrets and know-how, patents, designs, utility models, domain names, designations of origin and geographical indications.
Save 90% of costs also in 2025
If your company qualifies as an SME (n annual turnover of less than € 50 million), you may be entitled to a reimbursement of 90% of the cost of IP Scan from the EU SME Fund.
Given that the voucher for IP Scan in 2024 was set at EUR 800 in Slovakia, you will only spend EUR 80 on IP Scan if you make use of this voucher. The sums are VAT excluded.

Applying for a grant is simple and doesn’t require a lot of paperwork – all that is required is basic information about your company’s bank account and a certificate of registration for income tax or VAT. We can apply for a grant on your behalf.
How does the IP Scan work?
The IP Scan process is divided into four simple steps:
- Completion of a short self-assessment questionnaire. This will give us an initial overview of your company’s IP situation
- Consult with our IP Scan expert. Our IP Scan expert will interview you to learn about your business model, assess your intellectual property.
- Preparation of a final report, which will include identification of current as well as potential IP assets and propose strategic recommendations to protect your intellectual property. Each final IP Scan report is subject to approval by the Industrial Property Office of the Slovak Republic, thus ensuring maximum quality assurance.
- Final interview – Our expert will explain the contents of the final report and highlight any risks identified as well as their recommendations.
